Maybe a bit a strange way to say this but if the kids are "suitable" to sit safely on a solo bike you can count on me. Otherwise we need to think about the concerns raised by Falko and Bunnie expressed in earlier correspondence on this forum.

I'd like to show you something: members.lycos.co.uk/xvz13/in the left upper corner there is sign Charity Ride, just click it and watch. It's kind of commercial we made last summer in Lublin. Kids are from hospice named "The Little Prince". Voice off sais: "Every child should be happy, from hospice too! Be hard to help weaker !! Hospice The Little Prince" So Rudy, my opinion about this idea is: YES !!

Was thinking a while I plan to hand over the "Camp Rests" - sponsored by Metzeler - to the kids or to the Stephanuswerk Organisation and they can choose where the gifts goes to. It might be a pleasant gesture. We can do that in the name of the VCE if it is desired by the members of our community and of course if it is allowed by the President. What do you think ? Guess all our campers are already equipped with camprests. If not - just drop me a PM or post something into the Forum and I will arrange to get a camprest free of costs for you.

I plan to hand over the "Camp Rests" - sponsored by Metzeler - to the kids or to the Stephanuswerk Organisation We can do that in the name of the VCE if it is desired by the members of our community and of course if it is allowed by the President. *** first : what is a camp rest ? can you show a picture pls. *** sec. : whatever a camp rest is - it doesnt matter - and will not affect the answer to your question... in my view ( wich i think will be joined by some members / and maybe by others not...) there is a big difference in giving items or donating money.. specially when it is clear that the amount of the money that will be donated - will be a shame .... !!! to give a item ( at which cost is not the important question ! ) is normally a nice thing to do... ( if you are not f.e. planning to give sex-toys to a christian-organisation ) i hope i was able to describe my ideas - and you now are able to understand why i said : no collecting money in the name of the club i still say : If you Rudy, or any other member feels the need to donate money..., why dont you just go to the stephanus-werk and donate it... the people who are really caring about other people ( in which way how ever...) dont speak about that !! just my 2 cents xxx so the answer to your question is : sure it is OK and a nice gesture - if you or anyone else is able to donate things, the children will have fun with...

( but on the other hand... - what if it would surprisingly taste good )

Just continue what your doing Winghunter, for me you are on the right path! I would not even bother anymore to answer on certain questions a certain member is posing you. I don't know if it is wavelength or blood group but I am for sure loosing MY patience with these childish remarks and questions. I have been trying to stay polite and patient on this forum but it is getting difficult today!

I think it is a great Idea to donate the sponsored camprests.
try to find out what is the best 1) donate them to the participants of the ride or 2) donate them to the organisation.
May be the organisation can help out with a souvenir to the participants
Btw you have an extra bike since my introducee, Marc, is willing to join the ride.

Bunnie, I do make decisions in my job ;D but in our forum I like to have the voice of our members. On one hand I like to see the glance in the eyes of kids on the other hand it might be good to give that gifts to our members. By the way, that camp rest is a self inflatable camp rest. So, just let me know your opinions and after we will decide what we will do. Great to see another rider hook up on the tour

Itry to find out what is the best 1) donate them to the participants of the ride or 2) donate them to the organisation. What I mean with participants are the disabled/handicapped persons of course.

Yes Bunnie, I think, decision is made by our side. We will give the camprests to the kids or to the "Stephanuswerk". Our members can decide if we do that in the name of the VCE or not. Since the local newspaper is there, if might be good to do that in the name of our community.

Rudy...can you tell us when you are planning to give these rides??? Is this going to interfer with anything else?? I assume not??? Anyway, I will be glad to help out as well. Another organization question.....we have two(2) TRAINING SESSIONS to do, can you look at the schedule as you have it, and see when we can do those....my guess is they might take an hour total for both. I have Roland with Brakes....and the First Aid session if you have that set up? ?

Finally got it, John ;D ;D ;D
I plan to do the First Aid training on Saturday after our trip to the Castle Neuschwanstein at about 4.00 p.m. Will take us 1 1/2 hour. After we will do the ride with the kids, if the weather is bad, we just present the gifts to the kids in the hotel.
On Sunday after our trip we continue with the various training sections.
You guys think, that will work ?

Hey Jami, I opened up a thread how you will get to the campground, also I dropped you a PM with a way description. Will be very busy for business reasons with a few long trips, so don`t worry, if I am not able to answer questions within the next time. But I will try to find a way to get into the Internet from time to time.

Hi friends,
if you wonna join the charitiy ride, don`t forget to take some extra helmets with you,
but we will do that ride only if we have dry road conditions !
If it will rain, we will do a kind of a lottery. I am still thinking.
May be, someone of you has a good idea ?
