Hi all members and visitors to this great forum of the Venture Club Europe.
I have some information I would like everyone to know so …
?
What the heck is a Meet & Greet you ask?
Well, I am going to tell you now. So read on.
Sunday evening several of our members from all over Europe and me got together in our Chat Room, which anyone can use at any time by the way.
We discussed the possibility of having small or large get togethers in any location through out Europe.
The get togethers are going to be called Meets & Greets, and all they are is a group of people who love to ride and socialize getting together for a day or two of riding and talking and just having fun meeting each other.
I have talked about this before on this forum, but now we are going to make it happen.
Our discussion Sunday night basically resulted in two things.
There is no limit on how many can or will be organized in any month or year. It is totally up to the person who is interested in putting one together. The secret is to PUT one together and people will come!
A few things that were brought out in our discussion are the possibilities of a M&G being organized at the same time as another.
Say June 16-18 two M&G’s are organized. One in Lyon France, and one in Barcelona.
Great, the one in Barcelona is good for anyone who wants to go there and the one in Lyon is good for anyone who wants to go there. The point is……YOU HAVE A NICE CHOICE! If you can’t go to Lyon, no problem, maybe next time there will be one near you later in the month when you can make it.
The UK guys have a long way to travel to come to the mainland Europe, but the rest of us have a long way to them also. However, the UK group can still have M&G’s and if some of us can work their M&G’s into our busy summer schedule it will be great.We have that choice! In the meantime, the UK and Irish guys can still get together and have a great time.
The idea is that if we begin to organize a few of these M&G’s this coming year, we are making the club better because we can get together with each other more often if possible, and new members or prospective members are always welcome and will meet all of the great folks this club has in it, and they join up!
How cool is that; more members! More Ventures, or other brands! More fun! So it is open to anyone! Not just Members of this Club.
We have also decided to put together a helpful ”standard program for a successful M&G” kind of document that can give you ideas of how, what, why, and when to do M&G’s.
Might be of help to those who have never considered doing a get together like this before. It is now in the works!
I hope this information has been helpful to all of you in understand what the club is doing and what we think will help to make us better friends.
Getting together as much as possible is a great way to enjoy our love of the motorcycle and what Europe has to offer!
I hope all of you will give this new idea all your support and join any or all the Meets & Greets that we put together next year.

- We are going to have enough interest from the people who were involved in the chat to get a few Meets & Greets going next year, and
- they are going to be advertised and discussed at length on this forum in a board titled ”Meets & Greets”. It will be located as a subboard in the board called “European-Venture-Club meetings”.
