Hi there, friends.
It is a great pleasure for me to announce to everybody that after six long years being the chairman of the Spanish Venture Club, last Friday a new guy sits in my old chair.
Actually there are two guys sitting in the same chair, as we now have two presidents and vice-president.
As many of you may know, we have had our main meeting of the year during this past Easter Holidays and we celebrated our asambly where we discuss all the club issues.
The meeting was four days long and even while I write these letter, guys are still having fun down there in Madrid, were the meeting took place.
Due to my little son and his mother's illness these days, I could not join the complete meeting but only the three hours assambly and the dinner after.
I explained all the club issues and future plans. I thanked everybody for these great great great six years and after all, I left the last deal of the assambly my desire to have a new president of the club.
We needed more than one hour to find the right president but we finally came to good end with the election of two guys who will help each other in making the club stronger, bigger and better.
These two guys are called Francisco Javier Pérez García, who you would probably have never heard about him (we all call him Javi) and Joaquín de Yturralde who you all know as "Ytu". I'm sure they will do a great job and the best thing is that each one of them have a great team close to them in their own cities who will help them a lot.
I will remain at the club as a regular member and will keep being the international contact person between the club and the rest of the European or American clubs.
I feel both sad and happy. But I think the change was necessary and good for the club. Now there is a lot of work to do and I am sure that they will do it well.
So. If you ever need anything from the Spanish Venture Club, I will still be here to be the "spokesman" in English, but new ones will make the decisions. I guess you will all understand and I hope you all support the new guys. They are great people and I am very happy that they were the ones elected.
I think that's all I wanted to say.
Thanks for listening to me and don't ever think that I am gonna disappear from Earth. As I told the new presidents, I will keep posting, riding, helping, being a good friend and of course, supporting the club forever.
Hasta la vista,
Nacho.
