Hi friends,
guess we have fantastic weather all around Europe.
HAd to many beers and whiskeys yesterday evening at a party, so we decided to stay at home ;D ;D ;D ;D, instead of riding our "White Wolf". ;D ;D ;D
I started to polish the bad aluminum by myself and I did by handwork. The paste I do use is from "Nigrin" and its called "Metallpolish" It is a work for someone who hates himself and father and mother as well. Real bad job ! But I am very impressed. I just finished the aluminum around the handlebar. Looks real shiny.
Again, it is a bad job, but it works and it is inexpensieve.
Here another item, I really recommend to all of you. It is a plastic wax from "Putoline". Name is "Wax polish spray". I paid 12,- € for it, not inexpensieve - but great. It gives the paint a real smooth surface and the color glows up very bright ! At least that kind of wax protects the paint with a film. It is available in a 1 ltr. bottle and you do not need much for the cleaning the bike.
I don`t know if that stuff is available around Europe. If it is hard to find, just let me know and I will help you to get it.

Bunnie, if it is a Dutch producer, than you should get it.
During the years I tried so many products to clean up the bikes, but I never used such a great stuff before !!!!

Hi, On my side for chrom and alu I use Belgom shop.store.yahoo.com/eagleday/belgom.htmlI only use the Belgom alu for alu and chrome,. I found this product fantastic. For the painted plastic part I use Turttle wax extrem polish (no so bad...) What i'm missing really is a plastic renovator for the black panel.

Over here in Ireland, being a country with alot of moisture,we use WD 40 to clean everything, except discs, tyres, saddle & screen. The shine I get on paintwork & chrome is unbelievable & we spray it all over the engine & electrics. The only part I use water on is the screen. No need for wax or anything else.

Falko, I already left a message on your answering machine. It is interesting how everyone of you cleans the bike Are I am the only one, who has problems with that faided clear paint on the aluminum, like it is on the handlebar and on the engine covers ? Below you can see the differences after cleaning. The Nigrin quality I can proove with the pics - amazing !

Fabian, it just used a normal sponge, that you use in the kitchen. It has a relatively rough surface. Look at the pic below. But again - it is a terrible work, takes a lot of time - but the result is amazing - and - it is inexpensieve Hope, all of the first generation riders will have a new shiny look at the handlebars and at the engine covers ;D ;D ;D ;D, when we will meet in France !!! Wish you lot of fun during the work ;D ;D ;D

Hi Winghunter,
Thanks for your tips. Mine were so horrible that I start with waterpaper to remove this sort of lacq. After that I use a similar product (miror) and a finishing polish for chrome. It looks better and I have to finish the work tomorrow. 1.5 hour for one piece. Now I'm going in my swimming pool before fly and moskitos are comming. But result is nice. Again, thanks for your idea.

Ok, I expected that. The "Sonax" product is doing the same job like the "Nigrin" product. Look at the pics. Hope you will find that stuff. It works real fine. Floorboards before cleaning with "Sonax" and after cleaning with "Sonax" But there is still a lot of work do do, until we will go to the meeting
