I have been pondering on getting heated gloves, the thing I don't like is the wires,I have seen gloves that takes a "D" battery & it fits into a pocket on the cuff of glove,it only takes a couple of minutes to heat up & the battery lasts 6 hours, has anyone got any thoughts on these. www.brucemedical.com/ng25.html

I prefer my heated grips. They are always there if I need them and work with every gloves.

Come on, Roland!!!
That's not enough. You've got to show us that installation and how you did it. Did you have to change the entire grips or just something you added to the OEM ones?.
Pics, pics, pics.
Thany could be a deal for the Technical area, don't you think?
Thanks in advance.
Hasta la vista,
Nacho.

In the moment pics are not available. May be I find the time at the weekend.
I removed the stock grips, had to sand down the "bars" on the throttle side. Then I glued the grips in place with glue. They are hard wired to my extra power source which gets the power dirctly from the battery over a relay when the motor is running. The switch for the grips is mounted to the left side of the handlebar beside the radio control unit. Did the same procedure to Johnjr's bike. For me it's fine and useful also with the summer gloves in cool mornings.
