Friends, not only due to the votes from the French people ;D ;D ;D, we are still far away in many case from a unified Europe. Since many of us, will travel through various countries on the way to the meeting, we have to keep different road regulations. We will go across, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France. Here are my questions regarding road regulations for above listed countries. Max Speed motorcycle with trailer ? In Germany is the max speed for a motorcycle with trailer 60 km - crazy must be a regulation out of the last century. First aid kit ? In Austria you need to carry a first aid kit with you Safety Vest ? Guess thats interesting for all of us ! I like to spend my money for good life during our vacation, not to pay for tickets along the route

I do wonder if a group of bikes traveling together each have to carry a First Aid kit or one kit can be carried by one bike for all?

In France if your trailer don't exceed the half of the weight from your bike, it is the same regulation as for a car. in major cases 45/50kmh in town, 80 on national and 90 on highway.
The fist aid kit is not required but I think usefull, same case for the safety west.

50-80-100-120 km/hr are the speed limits on the dutch roads.
With trailer max speed is 80.
first aid kit not required and although it can be rough here with all the shootings a safety vest is not required.
Maybe this will change if Doc passes by backfiring and all ;D

Bunnie: What is your view of the EU election? You can reply to me by e-mail or personal message if you don't want to post here. I am very interested in the citizen's opinions from all over the world. That was one of the reasons I went on the Euro Tour last year. I think that, when you get down to what a person wants, that there is very little difference anywhere. A person wants to be left alone, to have opportunity to succeed, to be able to give his or her opinion without fear, and to be able to protect himself and his family. Am I wrong?

Yamamoosealthough politics are not my favorite subject I will give a reaction. Hopefully this will not burst into a discussion on this forum in this thread. At the referendum I voted no for these reasons in order of priority - after reading several pro's and con's I based my self on the letter signed by 100 european scientists www.europese-grondwet.nl/o/achtergrond/hoogleraren.html
Also the con's were more to the letter and less abstract/theoretical and that is meaningfull.
- I expect a financial income loss. ie the possibility to deduct mortgage-intrest from income-taxes could be no longer
- revenge and rebelling: the Euro did not bring any much profit. The inflation of daily goods was over 20% per year!!! I have a large family and therefor high daily costs. ie weekly shopping(groceries!) takes now 200-300 euros, Before the euro it took half of that.

@ Bunnie:
I agree with You. The EU thing is worse because it's more a political and industrial thing. The advanteges for the "little people" are small and all get less for the money than before the Euro. I think the European Venturer Club will be a better united Europe than the EU will become in the next 20 years. And with the Venturers in US we are a united world!!! We don't live long enough to see the same in a political way.

Bunnie, Roland, and Falko (I think ) Thanks for the responses! I even enjoyed Doc's response, although it wasn't intended for my question!! ;D I also agree with Roland, you meet the best people on a Venture! (There may be a few exceptions, JohnJr!)
