Here in Stuttgart are the Guys who pickup the Garbage doing their stupid strike.
Now the fifth week in following order. Since last Saturday the local Authorities brought up some 80 Lorries with civilian contracted Workers to get rid of the Waste. The Strike Posts won't let them unload the Lorries.
Some other Places also get affected by the Strike, like Kindergarten and Elementary Schools for some Hours or a Day.
The People here will all remember the Strike, be asured that, sooner or later, they will put the Garbage-Management and several other public handled Things to private Companies. So those striking Guys will keep their working Times, as long as they will keep their Jobs.

We have problems here as well,no strike, but extra money has to be paid to the council authorities. we have 3 bins, a)waste...b) recycle...c) compost.... it costs 13 euros for each bin to be emptied & now we have an extra waste charge of 130 euros per year. Private companies are moving in now & giving us a better deal & service. I never thought the day would come when I would have to wash & clean RUBBISH before we put it in the bins. Someone is taking the PISS.

In Stuttgart we have Public Management of the Garbage. We pay about 480 Euros for two Bins, Waste and Paper, every second Week cleared. The Lorries are manned by three or sometimes four Men. Recycling is handled by private Company and cost nothing. As we pay the green button on the Products in advance. In Ludwigsburg, 12 km Distance, where i live if i'm not on the Job, we pay for 2 Persons 55 Euros per Year and about 7 Euros per clearing a Bin. The Bin's are electronically tagged and your charged automatic while the Lorrie picks up your Bin. We pay around 140 Euros per Year in common. The Lorries are single manned, with special Mechanics to take the Bin sideways direct from beside the Road. The funniest piece of the Tale is: Stuttgart happens to run a waste incinerating plant, they bring our Garbage about 2 km away, burn it up in really hot Flames and sell the Heat as long-distance heating back to us. As you smelled, this isn't the cheapest Way for getting a warm Bureau. There is another big amount of Money to be transferred to give our Community the Payback of this great "gift". Because you are not allowed to heat with something else. I hope there is not Fault on that System while those Guys fight for their Employees-Rights, probably no one would care about the Problem. As they haven't cleaned up the Mess and the Snow the last Weekend's Blizzards has left. The Privates, which showed up to get some Salt for Roads to care, have seen some Guys with really big Locks at the Gates. The Police has to come up and send them to another Storehouse, which the Strikers have left unlocked. What a great Move !!! and ... because i'm really getting mad as i think about all those stupid Freaks, driven to no Future by a Union, which should take care of them: at Work time, they get up early in the Morning before 6 a.m., as they can go Home when the Days Work is done. On Strike-Time they show up at half past eight, have a shout and strike their Times, on half past one p.m., the Most of them are gone ...
