Hi there friends:
I've seen that our brothers of VentureNet have some little problems with their forum over there. It is a pity that they can not get in touch with each other in these difficult days when they need MORE THAN EVER to find a good way of communication for members to get in touch.
So I had an idea early this morning and it was to create a special board, sub-board or something (whatever Falko and Bunnie may decide) for the Americans to use while their server or Forum are down.
It should be like an EMERGENCY place where they can keep posting important things while their place is not working. It could be very USEFUL now because of the Hurricane thing, but it could be used also in the future anytime they get Internet problems.
Our site is 100% free, so this could be very easy to manage and post for everybody. It should be an OPEN board where everybody could post and although writers will appear as GUESTS, at least they will have the chance to stay in touch. And if we get SPAM, we are several moderators to erase any garbage we could get.
Please think about it and if you like the idea, John or Ian could tell it to Marshall, Brent, Butch and the rest of the gang. It is as easy as to send the list of members a message similar to the ones they are sending these days but also adding a part where they can tell members to use our EMERGENCY board to stay in touch till things get back to normal.
Just thinking aloud, as always and trying to be useful.
