Usually some Garmin SP111's available on the used market on ebay now there are newer models. Work fine on the bike.

Every Euro You spend more for the GPS are useful. In my opinion ist the chaeapest useful GPS the Garmin Quest. I agree with Ian, there should be some used Garmin Street Pilot III for sale. Otherwise the Garmin 2610 should be the best but expensiviest GPS to buy. All these units are really waterproof and can be used with the bike and the car. The Street Pilots may be cheaper in US but there is the US base map installed and this is not changeable to the european Atlantic basemap. The basemap is whole Europe stored in with the major roads and cities. So you will find your way without the additional dates to be stored at the plug in chip to find every little roads and points you are looking for. Don't save money with the wrong GPS. My SP III was really pricey when I bought it but it's always my favourite GPS and I would never change it except to a 2610.
