Bunnie, there are several companies in the States that sell very nice hitches for our bikes. One of them is even one of the members from the American club.
Let me ask in their forum and I will send you some links or pictures with prices.
But be patient. Today is my birtday and as soon as I get out of the office, which will be real soon, I will go for a looooooooong ride with my Venture. We have a marvellous spring day today with no clouds in the sky.
Two negative degrees early this morning, but it is now almost noon and temperature is alredy above ten. I expect 16 after lunch, so I may not come back to work this evening. It is my birthday, what a heck!!!!
Hasta la vista,
Nacho.

Try "Hitch Doc" in the States. Very stable ! Had a hitch from that company on my Venture.

Venturedad produces his own hitches and sells them to members of the US Ventureres. May be Johnjr can manage something. Also Dauntless-Motors has a good hitch in my opinion www.dauntlessmotors.com/yamaha.htmSince I have a trailer and know what my dealer did to build a hitch for my bike I am not so impressed with the hitches from other manufacturers. But the hitches for the Goldwings sold here in Germany are not better than the hitches You get from US. They should work fine in normal use. In my opinion the greatest problem is the trailer itself, there are big differences in handling. BTW: Welcome to the truck drivers! and how about pics of the trailer?

I paid two years ago, 250,- USD for the hitch from "Hitch doc" incl. taxes and freight.
And that I can proove : The hitch from "Hitch doc" is the most stable hitch on the market !

Hey, Frank.
I've got this add from the American forum. Seller is one of the companies we were talking about (Venturedad, being a member of the club).
I hope it helps.
Hasta la vista,
Nacho.

Bunnie, we need a pic from Your trailer! Several people in US are using the hitch from Venturedad and everybody is satisfied. In my opinion the hitch from other manufactureres are not better, they produce them in the same manner. Installing the hitch is roundabout half an hour. The electric connections can be got from under the passenger seat or behind the license plate holder.
