Hello, In first place, i'm sorry for my english ;D I'm from Almada, a town near Lisbon, Portugal. I'm 38 years old. I always liked motorcycles, so, a few years ago, 6 or 7, I bought my first bike - a yamaha diversion 600. Two years later sold it and change for a suzuki GSX750F, a sport tourer bike. In that time I worked 30 Km from home, so it was the right bike. When I started to work near home, I started to use the bike only for weekends and long way rides - Morocco, Spain, Andorra, etc. The suzuki was not confortable enougth for that, so I started to look for a tourer bike, I found a 83 Venture and i fall in love. I bougth it few days ago and, of course, I dont know much things about this motorbike. I started to look on the net and i found you, a very interesting site. So here I am for a long ride... See you venturers

Un chico le pregunta a su amigo: – ¿Viste el apagón de anoche? A lo que el amigo contesta: – ¡No!, en mi casa se fue la luz....242

Come on, Bunnie!!!
That's Spanish, not Portuguese. We understand each other talking in our own language, but that was supposed to be a joke for me (it is in my language), not for Jorge.
Anyway. Welcome, Jorge from your brother in Spain. Anytime you need help in Spain, just let me know. You've got a friend here.
By the way, are you coming to the Pengüins meeting this year in Valladolid in January? It is a huge bike's meeting (as big as the one in Faro). If you are comming, let me know. I am arranging a nice meal for all the Spanish Venture Club members and it would be great if you could come and join us.
Best regards from Spain,
Nacho.

John. Los Pigüinos is the biggest bike meeting organized in Spain. There are a few other events with more bikes (the 3 Grand Prix ww have in Spain in Jerez, Valencia and Barcelona), but those are just expontaneous meetings. People simply get there for the races. But for the Pengüins, there is a bige bike club who arranges everything for all the people. There are bike activities during a whole weekend and many biker come not only from Spain but from all the world. I mean all the world because every year we get bikes from the States, from Sout America, from all over Europe and even from Australia. I'm not talking about a normal meeting. I am talking about a meeting that gets collapsed a whole big city like Valladolid. Bikes everywhere in 300 km around the city. More than 25,000 bikes suscribed to the meeting (this means paying the fees for the camground and the meals) and around another 25,000 bikes that come to the event but do not pay the fees. This means around 50,000 bikes all together in the little village of Boecillo (where I work). It is a complete chaos with even several dead people due to accidents every year. I don't specially like this meeting that I have been attending during the last 15 years, but knowing that most of the Venture members come in town, I arrange a meal for them and for their friends (this year we may be 100 people for the lunch). This year, the organization of this huge event celebrates their 25th aniversary, so they will make special activities. Go to www.lapinguinos.com/ and check there. They have info in several languages. Anyone interested in comming will probably have problems with hotels (peoplemake reservations from one year to another). But if still interested in comming, let me know. I will find a bed for anybody. Just one thing to remember. Valladolid and Boecillo are usually dry places. I mean it does not rain much here and most years we have sun during the meeting. But temperatures WILL NOT GET ABOVE 0º CELSIUS in all weekend. And not only that. It is very easy to reach 10 or 12 negative degrees those days. I am tired of seing people having real problems starting the bikes in the morning that weekend. Batteries die easily and there is even a technical comission in the organization with tools and bateries to help people. That is the reason why people call the meeting Los Pingüinos. So, if there is a brave biker here with some guts, just let me know. I will help with more informations. Best regards to all, Nacho.
