welcome on board Jan Caers you are the first member in this Forum and also as a Europe-Venturer from Belgium hope you won`t be the last  we will see if there are other members maybe we have to ask our french friends or the netherlands if they know more Ventures in your part of europe hope to meet you - maybe in france on the int. meeting ? |

Hi and welcome Jan.
For the germans I try the translation into german:
"Mein Name ist Jan, ich wohne in Boom, nicht weit weg von Antwerpen/Belgium. Ich bin 47 Jahre und arbeite als Arbeiter in einer Motorölverarbeitenden Firma, Firam WOLF Oil.
Ich bin froh, daß ich einiges in holländisch schreiben kann, mein Englisch ist nicht so gut. Ich bin auch noch am ausprobieren, wie diese site (Homepage) funktioniert.
Ich habe 1976 mit dem Motorradfahren begonnen, mit einer Honda GL 1000. Diese habe ich gefahren bis 1996. Ich habe dann eine Honda Shadow Ace2 gekauft, mit der ich 1,5 Jahre und 38.000 km gefahren bin.
Dann habe ich eine Royal Star gekauft, mit der ich in 4 Jahren 78.000 km rumgedüst bin. Ich wußte dann irgendwann, daß mein folgendes Bike eine Venture sein sollte nach 5 Jahren fahren mit der Star.
Als ich irgendwo herum fuhr auf einer Rundreise, traf ich jemanden mit einer Venture und der erzählte mir, daß man sie (Venture) in Belgien nicht mehr importieren würde und er die letzte hätte.
Ich habe dann montags direkt den Importeur angerufen, der mir bestätigte, dass der Import wegen Gewinndefizits eingestellt sei.
1 Stunde später rief er mich zurück und erzählte , dass da noch 1 Venture in Bergen stehe, im französisch sprechen- den Teil von Belgien. Ich habe sie direkt bestellt und am folgenden Samstag abgeholt. 1 Jahr früher als geplant, aber sonst hätte ich keine mehr bekommen.
Bis heute habe ich 73.000 km auf dem Tacho, sie wurde am 16 Febr. 3 Jahre alt. Ich plane, so viele meetings/Treffen wie möglich anzufahren und hoffe auf Einladungen. Sobald mein Bruder Zeit hat, kommt er mich besuchen, um mir Nachhilfe zu geben im Umgang mit dem Computer, sadass ich in Zukunft häufiger teilnehmen kann an Diskussionen hier im Forum.

It was not polaid of me not to answer,but i didnt now how to do it
Today i went to visit my youngest brother,he sits more hours infront of his computer than i sit on my bike and he explained to me what a forum is abouth and how to used it
So now i know how it works you will here more from me
