It's not really easy to get the Drivers seat off for maintenance or cable routing and many broke off the bolt in the seat (Don't ask why I know). Why don't use wingnuts? I use wingnuts over a long time now and never lost one since I put a little piece of 6mm fuel line on the top of the bolt. Now I can easy get my seat off and don't need any tools for this. BTW it's not bad to store there a spare key if Your ignition key gets lost on a tour.

@ John: Yes, my friend, I will take some wingnuts with me and also the tube to make them safe. You're welcome to take a cup of coffee or something else on friday. Ruth and me come up to the meeting on Saturday, because Ruth has to work with her daughter on Friday. We also will make our way back on saturday evening for our monthly meeting in the local club on sunday. @ Bunnie: I took the broken bolt out (Dremel multi) and installed a 6mm screw with a big washer from the other side (had to take away the foam etc.) kept in place with a good compound glue. The glue is only to keep the screw in place because the force is straight down, so the washer has to take the load and not the glue.

Roland, don't forget to take pictures of the wingnuts and the instalation when you explain it to the guys. It could be a good thread for the RSV Tech section.
I know what you are talking about becuase I also broke one of the bolts and had to repair it as well. And yes, I do use wingnuts also.
And of course, you guys take tons of pictures of the meeting. I want to see them all.
Best regards and have a nice trip.
Nacho.

Weather was too bad for taking pics of the wingnuts. May be tomorrow. Bought me a windscreen wiper and installed it after some minor changes.
