Beautiful pics Taka, that first pic would look gorgeous on one of Gary Mace's (Venturous) monthly calendar's. Message Venturous Site Admin Joined: 08 Nov 2004 Posts: 645 Location: West Virginia, Charles Town Posted: 24 Jan 2005 03:08 pm Post subject: Submit Photo Calendar Pictures -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You may have seen the thread I posted a few days back regarding a photo calendar with member bikes. I plan to create one of these for each month. These may be neat for printing and hanging in your garage or for using as a computer background. If you have a really good photo of your bike, or a good group photo from a Venturers gathering and would like to submit it for possible inclusion on the calendar, go to the Gallery (far right on menu bar). I have set up a separate area for calendar submissions. After each calendar has been created, I will delete all photos from the calendar gallery and start over. This is so that the same photos do not get used over and over for the calendars and also to help keep the server from getting bogged down. PLEASE NOTE: The monthly photo calendar IS NOT the official calendar of Venturer events. That calendar can be found in the Ride-Ins menu above. Submitted photos should be at least 600 pixels wide for the best clarity. Larger is fine. I will be looking for photos that not only are a good shot of your bike or group, but also have a nice background. A great shot of your bike beside your favorite trash can probably won't make the calendar... ahem .. sorry Dave.. hehe If you missed the thread on the calendars, here are the Febuary calendars I did. This was my first attempt. I suspect future ones may be better: Sized for printing on 8 1/2 X 11 sheet: www.venturers.org/vcalendar/feb_05_print.jpg Larger version for using as PC background: www.venturers.org/vcalendar/feb_05_1280.jpg_________________ Gary Mace - '02 Midnight RSV - '97 Virago 535 My Bike Photos Page. Thanks guys! I'm happy that you enjoyed the pics Doc, I live in Kobe city, that is in the western part of Japan. Have you ever heard the city Kyoto and Osaka? Kyoto is one of the ancient cities in Japan, Osaka is one of the big cities here. Kobe is neighbor Osaka and near Kyoto, has the big Port. The pics were taken in the surrounding countries of Kobe. TwoWheels, I also put pics at the picture folder on the Venture net, however didn't put photo Calender.

We cannot compete with Taka`s spring time and pictures. For us it seems far away from nice temperatures. We just arrived back from a 3 hours trip. Temperature was 7 degrees - lauzy cold, no chance to ride without thermo clothes. Below a few impressions. Pictures were taken at the "Teupitzer See" - close to Berlin

Yes Taka, the same as you,a few months ago we changed from mph to kph,to keep up with the Europeans, every sign post had to be changed, our speed regulations are..... Motorways....125 kph National roads....100 kph Non National....80 kph Town roads....60 kph & 50 kph No autobann We have a points system here now,the same as the UK,everytime you get caught for speeding or no seat belt, they put 2 points on your licence, when you have 12 points,it's a ban for 6 months, and your insurance goes way up.

Thanks for the information, Twowheels.
Your speed limits are higher than here. Our regulations...
Expressway: 80~100km/h National and non National: 50~70km/h Town roads: 40~50km/h
And a point system is almost same as yours, we will be suspended for 6 points and will be candeled the licence for over 15 points.

Yeah Doc,all the speeds are up slightly, except the old 40mph which is now 60kph,that's about 37mph,all the heavy bikers from the North will enjoy these new speed limits,it's crazy over here, motorbikes were never overtaken by cars before(not many)but now,we are overtaken most of the time, especially cars like mercs, lexus & all the expensive cars, they have the money to spend out on fines & they don't care,I like to get up to about 80,but I can't keep it up for long,as there would be a rozzer ready to zap me.
