Hi One and all, First i must say what a wonderful place to stage an international meeting, i think that the mountains and the surrounding area were outstanding. We were made very welcome by our hosts and all the other clubs that were there. The organisation was quite good , the only thing that let them down was the food and the time it took to get fed at meal times. I personally did not go on any of the ride outs as it was far too hot for me.I am afraid that our hosts did not think about the necessary needs of our fairer sex namely the women who do need to visit the toilets more than us hardened bikers. These were non existent even at the barbeque the toilets were out of order, not good, as i hear a lot of people had moans and groans about that. The party on saturday was very good fun and a good time was had by all . Some of the other venturers did not dress up (very sad) but i think everyone had a good time.Love to read your comments. Yours Truly Colin

My feelings on the meeting? Well I never got a chance to get bored. The organisation did need some improvement, and there were some moans about "value for money". The ride was excellently marshalled, but i found it ran a bit too fast for taking in any of the scenery, or getting my bearings. But boy was I glad I'd left my screen at home. I guess with all the luggage space on our bikes we shouldn't have moaned about nothing to drink for 45 Min's at the BBQ site, with a little forethought we could all have carried something of our own. All in all I had an excellent time, and everyone I met I liked. Looking forward to Holland.

Yeah Colin, the island group was very well dressed up... thx again for helping Brigitte and me with those hawai stuff ;-))
about your thoughts :
the meeting place was fantastic ! the ride outs more danger then fun ! ( to much people blocking the road ) it was a pleasure to see that all the cagers where having fun to see us driving by it seemed that noone got mad - to wait 15 min. at a traffic-circle to let us all go through... and all the people in the towns waving at us... that was really great a ride out we wont forget....
about the food : yeah it wasnt well organized - and a excuse is only a excuse it was a good idea to show us food from the region - that cheese-fondue - but it was bad not to think about people who dont like cheese..., and so on...
about toilets : oh my god - what are the french girls doin - and why hadnt i seen one ;-))) - that was horror !
about value : not easy to say, but i saw lots of sausages and meet left at the barbecue,
i`m not sure if the french made much money out of the meeting - and i dont care about that !
we all did know before the meeting what we had to pay - maybe we expected a bit more of : " living like god in france " - if you ever have been to a real good french meal - you know that that saying is true.., or can be true...
again:
Brigitte and i went to the meeting to meet !!!! ( like in meeting !!! ) - we didnt go there for food or anything else we did have fun ! and we meet a lot of nice people!
so for us : the meeting was fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi one and all, I hope our French friends do understand that i and Glynis and the other members of the Venture Club UK had a wonderfull time , we do not want to upset anyone as the Hosts worked so very hard to make it a memorable weekend. The site could not have been better.

Thanks for my french brothers of the Venture Club de France, because it was hard to ear or read some words, and what you says now, is a comfort. Nobody is perfect ! Be sure that for many of my french friends, it was a real pleasure to receive all of you, an to MEET all of you. Unfortunately, we don't have time to see, speak or drink with all !!! But it's save up for the next, in Netherland !

We only have good words for the site, the other bikers and being with them.
you will hear no good words from us to the organisation.
This meeting was a complete insult to the venturers scene. Cashing a lot of money and investing not a thing and to the lowest budget one can imagine. We see it as a complete abuse and a ripp-off. They should be ashamed to pull this trick to us.
Whatever problems they had, they are solved by now. I will write them a letter asking half my money back. We surely wish that we never announced ourselves as being present; that would have saved us €258,= since there were no checks. (seeing what we got there was no need to also) .

Hello evrey body.
I'm glad to see that you all went back home safe.
Despite some of the words I heard or read, I'd like to thanks all of you for coming to the meeting. I was very happy to put a face on names. We know that the organisation was not perfect, and we apologize for the mistakes in the organisation. Nothing is perfect in that world ! Anyway, I don't want to polemic. If someone is not happy, it is normal that he or she can express his/her unsatisfaction. But, I let each one assume the words he used to express himself.
I'll keep in mind some of the great moment we had, especcially on saturday evening. I'm sorry I couldn't spend more time with each of you during these 3 days. But at least it was a first contact, and we'll probably meet again next year.
If in the mean time you happen to be in France in the surrounding of Lyon, do not hesitate to stop over at home. You all had my adress and phone numbers on the registration form.
Have a great summer and drive safe.
Best regards
Alexandre NAUD

We know that the organisation was not perfect, and we apologize for the mistakes in the organisation. Nothing is perfect in that world ! Well Alexandre, I wished it was only the organisational thing that was the problem. Than you'll never heard me complain. Having organised several events of which some over 100.000 people to visit I know we all must learn. The complaint is about what we had to pay and what we got in return. That difference was to big. So I suspect and accuse the french club abusing this meeting to gain money for their own. I'll keep in mind some of the great moment we had, especcially on saturday evening. I'm sorry I couldn't spend more time with each of you during these 3 days. But at least it was a first contact, and we'll probably meet again next year. indeed this misconduct cannot reach this far; I enjoyed the talks very much although there was always the shadow of the thing I described above. If in the mean time you happen to be in France in the surrounding of Lyon, do not hesitate to stop over at home. You all had my adress and phone numbers on the registration form. Only if I can collect I'm sorry.

Alexandre
what Bunnie didnt say:
it wasnt him alone !
he had to pay for his wife and his two sons - thats 4 Persons thats 4x 75,-- = 300,-- Euro for one weekend !!! thats 600 german Marks ( in real money ;-)) )
thats around 15 % of the average monthly income in germany !!!!
knowing this things may look a bit different !!!

Sorry guys, but I can't permit saying that my Club "abuse". And if the case of Bunnie is a case, he can also take his PC and send a personal mail to our president, and present his claims.(vilcalou@aol.com) Sorry Bunnie, but you are wandering of the reality. Good Night.
