Great job, Falko.
Thanks for translating it into English for all the European community.
You can bet that I Will be there and I will bring about 20 or 25 Spanish bikes with me to make the party as funny as possible.
Also, I will contact Ian Morgan, the international man a the Venturers so maybe we can try to bring also some American friends. What do you think about it?
I bet John will love to see some of his friends here in the old Europe.
What do you think, John?
Anyway, we keep in touch about this thing.
Best regards to all.
Nacho.

Hey Doc. Welcome to the Forum. As far as I know, there is no obligation to drive a Venture to attend the International Meeting. I know that several members from each Venture Club drive Kawas, Hondas, Suzukis, Harleys or whatever. at least that's the way we do it here in Spain. I'm pretty sure that the Frenchies will see this post and answer you as well, but if not, please contact them in their web site www.ventureclubdefrance.com and ask them about it. Last year I went to the International Meeting in Switzerland with 15 or 16 Spanish bikes. Not all of them were Ventures. We had several Goldwings and other models. Nobody told us anything about it. Anyway, don't worry about it. I'm sure it will be OK. Now, if you want, please tell us something more about you and how you found us. I'm Nacho, from Spain. If you can speak a little bit of Spanish, you can visit the Spanish Venture Club at www.venture-spain.comI'll be in France this summer, so I hope we can meet over there. Best regards to all from the sunny Spain, Nacho.

Nope, we are not exclusive.
And if somebody ever tells me that me or my friends can't attend a meeting because the friends ride something else, I won't attend and will ride with my friends instead.
That is a stupid thing some clubs do, but thanks God that all the Venture Clubs that I know are not that way.
Please come to France with your better half and her bike. You won't regret it!!!
Regards,
Nacho.

@ Nacho
its a shame - but you are not right Nacho
not all Clubs you know
there are Clubs in Europe who def. not allow other bikes on their rides and not for Member....
just check the Pres. - and ask them some not even would allow a Royal Star if it is not a Royal Star Venture !

It's looking good. A shame I can't make it as I will be completeing my big ride around the USA at the time it is on. I will be meeting a lot of Venture riders at the Homda Hoot in Knoxville, Tennessee and then again at Star Days in St Joseph, Missouri.
This is likely to be my last big ride in the US as I will have ridden in every state including Hawaii and Alaska. so the 2006 Euro meet looks a good possibility for me.
Missed last years in Switzerland because it occured just before the big Venture Euro tour, but did make it to Sweden in 2002.

The Spanish group is growing.
12 bikes already and 22 people.
I hope we can reach at least 15 bikes on Monday, as I still miss some of the members that always go to meetings.
I will keep you informed.
Regards,
Nacho.

Nacho, guess I need to fullfill my trailer with around 12 Germans - just to compete you. Me as a German I feel quite sorry that there are no activities from the German Venture clubs - there are two registered clubs in Germany and no registrations for the meeting !
MAy be they will keep their bikes on a low mileage figure and prefer the status as "coffee riders" ;D ;D ;D - hate to they that, but Petra made some postings in their forum without any comments by their side.
Another point that I would like to point out are the Swiss and Austrian riders. No activities here in our board ! Why - any reason for that ?

I don't know if there is a reason for that, but there will be a "Presidents Meeting" in France and I hope to explain VERY CLEARLY to all of them what is the purpose of this great club and forum.
I guess there are some presidents or clubs who still don't understand (or don't want to understand) what this is all about.
Anyway. Let's see if after the meeting some things change.
Regards to all,
Nacho.

Hey Winghunter I'm a VRCD member - and proud of it! I ride to France! If you think I'm nobody - OK its your opinion. France 2005 is my 5th International Venture Meeting - yours ?
btw. The VRCD is a real motorcycle club - some members have two Ventures but no PC ;D

Hello Pumuckl,
on this place I really like to say thank you for your comment. Think, we can start on open discussion on that issue. Fact is, that my girl friend Petra made a few inputs in your forum - no feedbacks at all. I personally gave a PM to your President - no answer until now ! Any reason for that ?
It was not my intention to say, that the VRCD is a bad community. You should be proud to be a member of the VRCD.
What I intended to say is, why are there no activities regarding the International meeting and joining our Forum ? Is it a language problem or what elsee.
Another point. If I remember rioght, you live in the area of Augsburg. Petra asked in a very friendly way, if someone will join our trip to France, since we start from Munich - no feed backs.at all.
Again Pumuckl, I just like to know if there is any reason for the wide distance to our community.
It was never my intention to make any negative or bad announcement regarding your Club. Concerning the "arrogant" comment I have given in my posting - yes it was my intention to wake up a conversation. Excuse me, but sometimes you have to use skills like that.
Excuse me for bothering you. It will be very kind of you, if you will start up some conversation in your local forum.
best regards
Winghunter

Roland, you`ve catched the point. Since many of us are owners of the first generation bike, I am happy to be around in a community around Europe - that has nothing to do, if I am registered as a club member or not. I wonna share my information regarding our bikes and I love to see that all others do think in the same way and help each other as much as they can ! Again, it was not my intention to create trouble between the various clubs and it was not my intention to start personal fights. Pumuckl, just to answer your question. I joined may international GW rallies - in Europe and in the US. Joined the biggest motorcycle rally in Sturgis. Have been in 42 states in USA during a period of 12 years and covered about 200 000 kilometers on various GW`s. By the way - it is my second first generation Venture
