k guys - after everyone asked :
lets start to plan / discuss / find a date / find a place
right now - i allready asked Bunnie for help - cause he knows a nice place near the belgium/netherlands - boarder
otherwise we also can decide to stay with the meeting in Laubach - at the solmser hof - there is still a trip waiting to be done... another option is Switzerland where Johnjr. might be able to find a nice place for us.... another option is Doc`s place in the middle of France another option .....? do you have any....?
we plan to do the meeting not before may somewhere between first of may and middle of june
ok - discussion is open lemme know...

I know you guys might be a bit fed up of being on home ground but what about doing the Mosel and a wine weekend or 3 days or so.
There is so much do and see plus great touring/rides roads.
Or Southern France to let our Spanish friends joins us.

Bob, I aggree with you. There should be a chance for the Spanish guys to join the meeting.
South of France or the area of Doc`s home would be perfect !! During May I personally would prefer South of France, because the weather is much better down there.

Well, if you guys let me work on it alittle bit, I'll see if I can get a Ride-In OK'd from the Venturers.org and do something in conjuction with you!!! How's that sound??? Since I am the International Affairs Director!!!!! ;D And, I am in agreement that we should try to get it a little to the south if possible next time or in the next few times, in order to give the guys in Spain a chance to join in....they have a long ride from down there and it would be nice to help them out with that!!!

Here is a date for the meeting. Since Thursday, May 25th is public holiday in Germany we can do a long weekend.
What do you guys think about that suggested date ?

Rudy...The Venturers.org call their get togethers "Ride-Ins" and "Ok'd" (Okayed) means I can make it an approved function by the Ventures.org .......no biggy!!!!! That make sense? I don't see a big problem with May...except that it gets a lot of rain that month...but maybe not down south!!!

You know that it sounds great, but if I were you, I would not count too much on the Spanish guys.
There is something that I don't like about my members. And that is they only do these kinds of things if I do it with them. And you know that next year and the next one I will not ride much because of the birth of my first son.
I will not join you in May and I will not join the Dutch International meeting either. I will try to make the members go to both meetings, but do not hope much from them. Maybe a few of them, two or three bikes, but not many more.
Distance is no problem for these guys. They really want to ride as far as possible. The problem is that they don't speak English and that makes them feel "isolated".
So, arrange the meeting wherever you want or wherever you have nice places to stay or routes to do. Then I will inform my people and will let you know.
Anyway. Just thinking aloud, as always.
BEst regards,
Nacho.

SUGGESTION>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>^^^^^^^^^^^^^<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>> I think this thread needs to be moved to the "Other" rides...etc. This is NOT an International Event by any stretch of the imagination!!!! Or to "Venture Club Europe issues?

good point Johnjr. but this is another discussion i think : as the european Venturers - all our rides are international ! cause members from diff. countrys will join them ! on the other hand you are right - our meetings are not the same as the old int. meetings celebrated by clubs as there is no feedback from the Netherlands right now about the int. meeting in the netherlands what shall i do ? wait till they wake up ? and join our forum ? or just go on with our own plannings K Guys - input please on this question !!! is there anyone who has the detailed info about the int. meet in the netherlands ?

Maybe you need to eliminate a few topics, and add "Venture Club Europe Functions" as a heading? Then you can discuss everything in that area regarding this Club... Rides, meetings etc...... International Meeting's are indeed for all of Europe Venture Clubs, IMHO.

Up to lux'n sounds OK with me, or here, or even somewhere warmer. Even the UK is good in May really.
Got a big rally to do in May in the UK, so just hope it doesn't clash.......OR, we could clash and have the meet at the NABD 15 rally which is a ton of fun with live bands, strippers, comedians, trade stalls and booze and loads of stuff. Bunch of good company too. We could go as a group and all camp together.
No dates yet, prices around £15 a ticket for the weekend which is a bargin for what you get, and it supourts a good cause.

South of Amsterdam!!! Center of the country Nacho!!!
I think we have plenty of time...don't get all excited just yet....let the group check stuff out and over this winter we will have a place or two....we don't just need one...we need several places for several get togethers!!!! May...June, July...maybe more than one each month!!!!

I am likely to be in Russia May 12th to May 18th and Sardinia May 28th to 3rd June so probably could only do an event if it was in the UK in May.
Would be willing to help out the other UK based guys to have an event here though!

I like Doc`s idea much. Since many of our community come from England, why not have a meeting in England ? Doc, is there an Internetsite available where we can get more impressions regarding that meeting in the UK ?

May be someone should learn the spanish language to help Nacho out leading the guys to meetings? ;D ;D Too bad that You can't join the meeting in Netherlands. What's about learning English with YTU or Music? If my memory serves me correct wasn't their English tooooo bad. I was talking a few words with them.

Guess, we will be able to conversate with the spanish guys. I was able to follow the conversation with Mike and Noel after we killed the third Schnaps bottle and believe me, during that time they both had a tough dialect ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Anyway, lets go back to find a place for the meeting. I really would like to make a trip to the UK. For business reasons I`ve been there quiet often. They really have a gorgeous landscape. Windy small roads, good food, good drinks and so on.
HEy UK gang, wake up, I am talking about you !

I would go along with your idea Rudy, there is a lot of beautiful places in the UK,how about an island called "Isle of Wight"brilliant rides there,so many twisties, you catch a hydrofoil or hovercraft to it & so close to the French landing ferries, just another idea on the list.
