Thanks for the welcome. At present I don't have a bike but I am trying to get one from America, The bikes are easy to find the shipping isn't, so if anyone has any contacts or tips they'd be welcomed.
Im just getting back into biking (hopefully) my last machine was the CBX1000 which I loved but families and one thing and another it had to go.
I looked at the goldwings but they don't look as nice or from the write ups they don't ride as good. The type of machine I want is a project with everything there but a re-spay and polishing and chroming needing doing, by the way Cae Pabi is th4e name of my house in Wales, it means poppy fields.
sorry to go on a bit, hopefully I will meet some of you on a run sometime

One and a half year ago I paid 700,- € for shipping incl. taxes. did that another 5 years before with the same shipping company. Name of the company is "Wilhelmsen" - located in antwerp. Means you have to go to the US, pick up the bike, make a nice trip and get it to the harbour of Newark and ship it over. It might be less expensieve, if you ship it to Wales. If you need more information, just give me a personal message. To get a nice bike - try to find one in the "Cycletrader" magazine or try to get a Venture from our brothers in the USA. they have a classified section where they list up bikes for sale.

Thanks for the tip about Bob's bike, Gordan also replied with the same message. I contacted Bob and we agreed a price and I collect the bike on the 25th of this month. All I need now is some time off work and I will be on the open road enjoying my bike. Happy motoring with your new Venture caepabi,I was wondering who was the new owner of Bobs bike,I used to have one of them 6 cylinder beasts, great bike, you are not too far from me,a few miles & a ferry crossing,we often go to Wales just for a couple of days riding & drinking,(not at the same time ;D ;D ;D)I must give you a call when we are in your area, there's two of us catching the ferry on Thursday morning to Pembroke & then riding on to Skegness to meet the UK gang for the Motorcycle News Butlins bash.Anytime you fancy a trip over here in Co. Waterford & a ride around West Cork for a couple of days camping or B+B.you would be most welcomed & that goes to all of you.
