My exhaust colletor box before you start.
The four corner pipes are eaten through with rust, with one of them broken away compleatly.
I might just be able to weld in new pipes if I can find some, but I suspect it's all worn to thin and will just blow through.
So anyone got a a spare?
what about sources?
I've seen the couple on ebay, but the seller is expensive. Perhaps a new box from yamaha wouldn't cost much more? It would at least not have any hidden problems.

Hello Doc, the original part is fragile . I think that's the best is the orignal spare part. Take it on Ebay was risky, cause more that the bike ride, more longer is the live of these exhaust box. Later on the road

Hi, The Yamaha part No is 47G-14731-00 this is the same part number for all first generation Ventures from 1984 and is still available from them as i had to have one last year for my own Venture . When you get a new one or even a second hand one give it a good wire brush and a good coating of heat resistant paint and you will find that it will last a long time.
