Hi there friends: I have a member from the Spanish Venture Club that is interested in something that he found in Germany. Could you please take a look at this and tell me how much does it cost and if somebody could send it to Spain? The item is called "Charge Guard" and has both, a Battery Charging and a Monitoring System. I think the name of the item is "CG-20" The company is www.kisantech.com and the shop in Germany is Wudo BMW at D-59439 - Holzwick (Tel: 001-49-231-806087) Please, take a look at it and tell me if could do something about it. I will appreciate any help. Best regards from Spain, Nacho.

i dont understand why someone should pay that much for a charger you will get a very good charger for around 50 bucks you will get a battery new for 45 bucks so why pay 225 $ for a chargersystem if you take the cheapest battery at 45 € you could change it 5 times - that makes it 6 years... before you pay more then the 225 $ and best you dont have to pay it at once... just my 2 cents

NAcho,
there is a simular procut. It is called "Accu guard" abailable in 900 or 1800 mA. It cost 39,- or 49,- Euro plus freight costs. Both guards have a constant power charger - that is very important. That guard is available at my neighbours store : MG-Tec
If you need any further assistance, just let me know

Thanks, Rudy.
I haven't had any news from the Spanish guy interested in these items. It seem he has lost interest in it.
But thanks a lot, anyway.
Nacho.

The Kisan product is not just a charger. It comes with a display unit that is handlebar mounted & displays Volts, Amps, Temperature etc. Take a look at their website (English owned and operated USA Based company. They have a lot of other stuff like headlight modulators etc. I wasn't aware of the chargeguard being available in 220-240v yet but I may be behind the times. My one is 110v. www.kisantech.com

I forgot to mention that if you have an Odyssey battery, accumate & Optimate chargers will NOT work efficiently. You will need either the Kisan charger (about$60 without all the display stuff) or the "Battery Tender Jr", in the UK about £40.
The reason is that a lot of chargers are unable to fully charge the Odyssey style batteries.
