Hi one and all, All late 1st generation ventures are fitted with the class type suspension unit and controlled by the class instrument panel on the right hand side. Has anyone had problems with the suspension loosing pressure. If so check the o -rings on the connections to the pump actuator solonoids at the rear of the machine behind the pillion seat . If these appear to be ok then check the three solonoids as these do tend to stick if the machine is not ridden for a while. also check the air intake is not blocked as this will cause a code of E2 to be displayed on the control unit . If E1 is displayed it is detecting a fault as it is turned on try resetting If E3 is displayed it meens that the compressor has been running continuously for one minute E4 means that the pressure sencor has no output voltage should be 5+or - 0.5volts E5 means that the control unit has a fault on it. This very rare and means it has to be replaced. If anyone has any problems do not hesitate to contact me and i will try and help you. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

My class system has never worked,I pump my suspension up on the right side (foot brake side) just above the riders foot peg.I have not seen this air valve in the manual.

Hi, have you still got the class unit on the right hand side control panel, have a look behind the seat and see if you have a plastic cover which covers the compressor that operates the system. to get into this you have to remove the seat and the top box which is easy on your machine. Yours might be fitted with the earlier version which is not the class system and has a shrader valve along side the rear suspension unit damper adjuster. this model was the one before the class control and does not have a compressor behind the seat. I hope this helps you out . Yours Colin

Thanks Colin,I have compressor & everything except the air pipes, got air pipes from a member in Canada, not fitted yet, tested compressor,it works, class instrument showing E4. no air valve where damper is,but there is an air valve above the riders right foot peg which pumps up the rear suspension.I will post a pic of it this evening.

Geezzzz, Noel!!!! You were hungry!!!!
I wonder what temperatures you get these days up there. Down here we still have close to 28 degrees (82 ºF) during the day and pretty sunny but then it cools down during night and we get just 10 (50 ºF) degrees.
Regards,
Nacho.
