I'm showing off now,I found a great site for translating all languages, this will be very handy,I'll test it on Spannish next in a different part of the forum. I hope this reads ok,It's nearly 100% accurate.Let me know if it makes sense. www.freetranslation.com/

Hi, I stock both the Yamaha OEM air filters and the K&N air filters in my shop so if anyone want them send me an e-mail and i will let youn know the cost . The Yamaha one is nearly as dear as the K&N and has to be changed at every 6000 mile servise the F&N one you just clean it and put it back so in the long run the K&N is the cheapest.

Usually the K&N's ahould be cleaned after 40.000 km under normal road conditions. In my opinion every year would not be bad.

With the K&N air filter you only have to hold it up to the light and it will be apparent to to if it need cleaning . Only use the recomended cleaner or WD40 as they tend to pick up all the dust if you are not carefull . They recomend cleaning every 8000 miles the same as when the standard type filter should be changed. Also it depends on where you are in the world the dustier the conditions the more often it should be cleaned .You will also find that the K&N filter will give you a better performance and better fuel consumption.
