;D ;D I have recently fitted Garmin Streetpilot 111 sat nav to my 1st generation Venture. I utilised the garmin ball clamp bracket and bolted this to the garmin cradle base. I them utilised the hole that is about 6 inches from the top of the handle bar stem , ( if you look at the stem it has a slot cut in it with a hole at the bottom). This hole was then tapped out with a 12 mm metric fine thread .The bolt that was to be fitted was then ground down around the hexagon head to enable the garmin clamp to be able to clamp arround it as it has to ball shapped. This was then tightened up very tight and held with two cable ties to stop any vibration or movement. I have also fitted a cigarette lighter to be able to run the Garmin on battery power from the bike .It all sounds a bit makeshift but was very cheep and also looks OK. If i knew how to download picturers you would be able to see for yourselves.

If it works for You this could also be a solution for Noel.

;D ;D ;D ;D I have now tried out the Sat Nav on my bike and it works a treat , the only thing i have found the is not good is the womans voice nagging me all the time saying" of route Recalculating " of route recalulating" it seems to take the long way round to get to certain places. It maybe the way i have programed different routes . We will find out next month as the UK club has a ride out to Skegness for the MCN weekend at Butlins Holiday Camp , we will then be able to tell you all how well it works getting us there.I will keep you all posted

You can switch off the "auto calculation" and check the preferences how the SP III calculates, for example fastest or shortest way.
