Well now I've gone and done it. I've taken the screwdriver and spanners to my Venture and this is what I got down to. I've been cleaning up the spaghetti wiring, cleaning the motor, and under the panels, I'm going to polish up the motor too. I'm going to change the oil and filter, change the drive fluids, and flush out the coolant. I've found a few broken mounting tabs which I am going to fix with a product I just got off of Ebay (plastech). A couple of redundant wires I stripped out and a blowing exhaust collector box, which I will try welding and bandaging (no wonder she was backfiring). One of the box carrier mounts will need a spot of welding, and then get the polishing mops to the chrome. I'll be laying in new wiring for a 3 way power point, internal aerial and a trunk light. Also I'll be fitting an MP3 player radio CD, and probably new speakers (suggestions for speakers?) But while I've got her stripped down what other jobs would you suggest I could do? Do bear in mind I'm on a three week time budget.

Is your CMS (computer) working ok. Rear suspension pumping up ok. Maybe upgrade terminal wires. Have you checked the back brake resovoir for fluid. Connectors under seat, pull apart & clean.
Rudy & Martin would probably have more ideas. When all is done, wait for the guys coming to your house & they can put it all back together for you, while you sit back & have a f*g. ;D ;D ;D

I was quite shocked at what was left after I took all the parts off too, but my son was happy. It's amazing the weight it all adds, I can put it up and down off the center stand with ease now. Found another job. Replace the collector box

The only thing I can suggest is,give Colin Morrish a bell in Kent,he carries a good few spares, might have box & pipes.I know he put a 1300 into a 1200 frame for his son, maybe he still has all the spares left on the 1300.
