Hi I live in Brighton in the south of the UK. I run a 1983 Venture Royale and a VMax. I also have a 1983 Venture in bits which I intend to build a naked cruiser from. I took the Venture across to Belgium earlier this year and intend to do so again at some point in the future. Although I am not a great user of this kind of site I think you should all keep it up. The Ventures are great bikes and we should keep the original vision alive. I am finding it easier and cheaper! to sorce parts from the US via E-bay than in the UK. Do others find that this is the case? or am I missing out somewhere? Vfours

Yes, it's hard to find Parts for the 1Gens. Be it on Ebay here in Europe or somewhere else at a Dismantler. Ebay US is the best Place with a Lot of Parts offered any Time, but shipping and eventually Costums Fees and Tax aren't doing any good.
Some Parts from the Vmax are interchangeable, mostly in the Motor and Electrics Environment.

But most of the times you be better of at the dealership rather then ebay USA because of the shipping and customs. Or make it your self, i`m very handy with tools. I just bought used footplates of a 1600cc yamaha and gonna build them on mine. ;D

Hi! In Norway vi have MC-BUA ,there you can get crom and parts for Venture ,1 gen.It cost a lot of money, but the person who run this business must have a little profit for doing this.

Hi Evereyone out there. I'm about to dip my toe in the wonderful world of the Venture. Can you direct me to a link to get all the info on what to look for when buying a second hand second gen venture 2000? Many thanks. PS I think I'm going to find it a little different from my old Pan1100. Cheers
