don't believe in that kind of bull****. (I see some Ghost here??) As long as there are no Photos of a Prototype or some People who has seen one. Might be too hard to handle for the Drivers ;D ;D ;D From 1985 to 2006 they sold a bike with real 140 HP(DIN) with an bloody poor Chassis, in relation to the Times we live now. And if they would bring up a new one ... 200 HP and a V4 Engine with at least 2 Liter is a Must. Where's they Difference between 140 Hp and an almost not working Chassis and a 200 HP Powerengine with all those fine things like an fat USD, 320mm Brakedisks with real awesome Brakes, no more Choppertyres running at 245 k an Hour, instead a fine working Back, probably a Belt Drive, 190 mm Radial Tyre with Grip to last outer Millimeter of the Tyre They won't bring one up .... they're afraid to do that ... The Vmax was, is and will be THE BIKE in her spefic Manor ... jm2c

Hey Squeeze Be sure, it is nice to hunt strange bikes without fairings ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Compare to our scooters - doesn`t matter if the brand has 4 or 6 cylinders - that new VMax looks strange for my eyes ;D - but I have to wear glasses somtimes ;D ;D Anyway, I cannot imagine to do a long distance trip on that VMax.

.. Anyway, I cannot imagine to do a long distance trip on that VMax. Well ... Rolling Couch Riders are a little bit away from Reality ... beyond Believe ? ? ? as i was told .... in the Netherlands last Year in Mai, at the Guinness-Book Record, was the long Distance Price given to a Guy from Norway .... 3000 km was his Ride. The Guy from Larnaca, Cyprus felt a little bit pissed off, he had to a little bit too much Ferries on his Ride .... Anyway .... Jule from the Vmaxxers.net came last Year all the Way down from Wilhelmshafen to Hirschau, not the direct Way, a Stop near Dortmund was planned, some 850 kms on Friday from Morning till 6,30 p.m. with several Stops on the Route ... or ask Gufe about his Rides with his Vmax to several Meetings Germany or Netherlands, he and his Wife live in Austria near Bodensee and are well seen on nearly every Meeting. Or or or or No Question, the Max seems not to be comfortable for long Distances, but the Riders seem to be somehow harder than others ;D ;D ;D

Yamaha opened this website where you can see AND comment on the new V-Max design. Interesting bike and concept to communicate with your (potential) customers. If there would be something like that for future Venture's that could be great! www.next-vmax.com/index2.html

Well Peer, it is not a specific place to give your opnnion about the Venture, but at least you can tell them some things. Here is a link that I visit regularly and a mail that received last Friday. Maybe you all can visit and say something to those "bike designers" ********************** Dear Nacho Altes , Thank you for your participation some time ago in our Yamaha Web Survey about your bike. We are interested in your bike history. For example: what was your first motorcycle or scooter and how were your following steps and motivations in your two-wheeler riders biography? We , the Product Planning Team at Yamaha Motor Europe, would appreciate very much if you could spend a few minutes to participate to a dedicated web survey under www.yamaha-research.com/riderThank you very much in advance Your Yamaha Product Planning Team

I wonder how much work it would take to squeeze that motor into a gen1 chassis? I believe that fitting the new Engine in a 1Gen-Bike wouldn't be that big Problem. New Brackets should be needed and some other smaller fixes. Biggest Question should be the Gear-Ratio and Swing arm Connects. No need to say that such an Engine needs lots of Computers and a complete new and a handmade Wiring Harness.

Well, i guess i have to change my Statement .. Yamaha is going to bring the new Max, after all and Lot of Trouble because the Motor has eaten up the rear Tires in no Time, the Bikes are announced to be seen at the Dealer in November this Year. You could order a Bike since mid of April. Delivery Time is Jan to March 2009. Rumors tell about 1800cc Engine, 210 hp, 6-Speed Trans with real Overdrive, speed limited to 260 km/h. There's a Countdown running at www.yamaha-motor.de ... the Key and the Sound hopefully indicates the new Max ... Oh, yes, i forgot the Price ... Price is quoted with 19750 Euro included 19 Percent VAT here in Germany.
