Hi there friends.
Last Saturday, my friend Ytu came from Madrid to Valladolid (200 km) to visit me and have some bike fun.
He need it to change his T-bones for the rear suspension (thanks, John for sending them to him) and I needed it new front rotors, so we decided to go together to the dealer wich is located 50 km North of Valladolid.
Here are a few pictures of what we did. I hope you like them.
These are the new T-bones that John brought from the States to Switzerland and then sent them to Madrid to Ytu's. By the way John, he is so happy that he made the change. He called me this morning very excited telling me that I should have told him before to do the change.
This is the dealer where I ususally do all my bike things. it is small, dirty and not very known, but he works in at least 6 Ventures and I can tell you he knows them well enough. Notice that there is a much bigger dealer only one mile from where I live but I drive 50 to go to this one. I have my own reasons. Check these numbers:
125.000 km that I have driven with my bike. I visit the dealer every 6.000 km for oil and filters. Dealer is 50 km from home wich means 100 to get back. 125.000 km divided by 6.000 km period maintenance equals to 20,83 times times that I visited him. So, 20,83 times multiplied by 100 km each time equals 2.083 km that I needed to drive just to make my bike maintencance.
Do you think is worth it? I can tell you it is for me.
These four pictures are just Ytu and me right before saying good bye to each other close to Boecillo. From there Ytu travelled alone back to Madrid.
Please notice that I am down on my knees in some pictures and also kissing him very efussive. It is not that I love him, wich I actually do, it is that I am thanking him for giving me a nice riding day. I didn't ride all day long since the baby was born the second of December. Actually, after the trip to the French meeting the fardest place that I have been from Valladolid was like about 50 km. So, I had many reasons to stay very thankful to Ytu. And you can bet it was a great riding day. Cold, but dry.
I am now waiting for another chance to do something similar again. ;D ;D ;D
Hasta la vista,
Nacho.
