Good morning my friends, it might be quite interesting how the winter is in your area. Just show us your pics in your home area. This year the situation in Bavaria and specially in the mountains looks critical. Tons of snow on the roofs. In our neighbourhood most of the houses have flat roofs with a roofheater. We do have the same equipment on our roof, but nothing on our garage roof. There we have around 1,5 mtr. of snow. guess I need to clean the garage roof today. How is it in your areas ? Pictures were taken half an hour ago. Me at work In front of our home. Cannot open the base windows any longer - blocked with snow at the street

Hi Rudy, by my side, much less snow ( no more 2cm) , but cold, around minus 10° C in morning and minus 2° C with a wonderful sun the afternoon ! This year, it's a real and long winter. And it's a pleasure to see you again !!!

Thanks, John. I love you too After posting this pictures yesterday, I had an idea for a new picture contest. What about placing our bikes in front of nice and emblematic buildings and show them to the rest of the world? This way we can let people know how our countries and cities look like. I have several dozens of buildings that I can show without getting out of Valldolid. And you bet I will show you. In the pictures above, the bike and me were downtown in Valladolid, at the University Square, right by the Cathedral (not shown in the pics). That old building is the Lawers Faculty, where you can find hundreds of students messing around all the time. All around the building there are lots of bars and terraces like the one where my bike is parked and during spring and summer, this is a crowded area where everybody has fun. Next time, after February exams, I will try to take a few pictures of those 20 years old future blond lowers having sunbaths in the terraces. So, what do you think? Should we start that new contest? Hasta la vista, Nacho.

very good idea Nacho bring life in here... everything is so quiet.. but: a contest is something you can win... ok we need something to offer for the winner / winners as for buildings : how about this i offer for the winner of the building-picture contest : a) you can stay for a overnight in my flat and i will show you some nice buildings in my area - like the Frankfurt trade-fair tower , b) i would be also able to offer this for the Kassel-area - where i could show you the homecoming monument for those who left their homes after WWII c) i will be also able to offer this for the Düsseldorf area, where i can show you the famous Neandertal - Museum ok how about Nacho Colin John --- will you can offer something in your area so the winner may decide where to go ?

Well, I can sure make something happen here, but I need for the fricken SUN to come out and the snow to melt around here so I can get out and see what the heck is goin on!!!!! But..no problem for me to host anyone who wins or anyone who just wants to come to Geneve, have plenty of room and a whole lot of beautiful country to ride in!!! Heres my first entry....see if you can tell what is in the background that is famous near me? Its not a building, but those will come...however it is pretty recognizable anyway....and there are two bikes ...who's is the other bike???

Hey Noel, could it be, that your belly got a bit bigger since last year October or is it just the thick winter jacket ? ;D ;D ;D
Great pics my friend, wished I would be able to join your ride. Still far away from springtime.

Rudy,I would like to believe it was my jacket sticking out ;D ;D ;D ;D Me & my belly are very good friends,we go everywhere together That was the first time I wore that jacket,I'm not keen on it,it does'nt feel right,I have 5 jackets,I prefer to just wear my vest, makes the ride more comfortable. John,I was testing out the new speaker in my helmet which is connected to the GPS & it worked well, for some reason that day,I could'nt see the the LCD screen, even with a sun shade on the GPS,so the voice prompts were very handy, that was a good ride the other day.Looking forward to see you guys make it over here someday.
